“People view the phrase to “light up a room” as cliche and overused when describing a person who passed away- but Shelly Fink was absolutely the embodiment of the phrase. Never in my life have I met someone who was as big of a ray of sunshine as Shelly. I don’t know how it’s possible to make everyone you know feel so supported, celebrated, important, and loved, but she did. Shelly is truly, genuinely, absolutely one of a kind.“The depth of her drive, motivation, kindness, and compassion are as indescribable as the depth of the loss I and so many others feel from losing her. The last thing Shelly said to me was “don’t move away, I would miss you”. I don’t want to accept the reality that I will spend the rest of my life missing her.”
