The on-screen brother-sister duo of Chadwick Boseman and Letitia Wright is well-known. They were as close as real-life siblings.
Letitia gained global recognition for playing Shuri in the MCU film Black Panther and subsequent films Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
For her portrayal of Shuri, she has won an NAACP Image Award, SAG Award, Teen Choice Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Is Letitia Wright Brother Chadwick Boseman?
Chadwick Boseman and Letitia Wright are not real-life siblings. Instead, Chadwick is Letitia’s on-screen brother in the Black Panther franchise.
In the MCU film, Chadwick plays the titular character of Black Panther/ T’Challa, the king of the African nation of Wakanda, whereas Letitia plays Shuri, his 16-year-old sister.
Unfortunately, Chadwick passed away from Colon Cancer in August 2020. He had been diagnosed with the illness four years prior.
Talking about his sudden death, Letitia said during a heartfelt Q&A that when she first heard the news via email, she “lost it.”
She shared that she was confused about why someone sent her condolences, only to find her phone trafficked with tragic text messages.
Letitia still could not believe it and thought she would call Chad to make it all go away. Soon after, she received a call from co-star Daniel Kaluuya, and he confirmed the tragic news.
The Guyanese-British Actress said she wanted to honor Chadwick in the sequel. “This character’s a blessing. I have the role of Shuri because of Chad,” she recalled him saying, “Yo, this is my sister; stop auditioning people.”

She continued to honor her late friend in the new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever film’s premiere. She walked the red carpet in Los Angeles wearing a black Alexander McQueen suit similar to the one Chad wore to the 2018 Academy Award.
Letitia also did the signature “Wakanda forever” pose, crossing two arms in front of her chest and standing proudly in an outfit reminiscent of her late on-screen brother.
Daniel Kaluuya, who played a fellow Wakandan in Black Panther, said that Chad’s death was an “unquantifiable” loss. He also could not fathom how resilient Chad was in keeping his terminal Colon Cancer private and enduring long filming days for the 2018 film.
Meet Her Biological Brother Ivan Bombokka And Family
Ivan Bombokka is the only sibling of Letitia Wright. Not many details about Ivan are available except that Ivan is her younger brother.
Letitia Michelle Wright was born in Georgetown, Guyana, on October 13, 1993, to a working-class family.
The family moved to Tottenham, London, England, when Letitia was seven. She attended Northumberland Park Community School while Ivan relocated to Europe.
She is a devout Christian. Letitia, who has opened up about her battle with depression which she started having at the age of 20, credits her Christian faith for helping the illness.

Letitia discovered the religion by attending a London actors’ Bible study meeting. She even turned down roles to focus on her recovery and her faith.
She later explained she needed to take a break from acting to have a journey to discover her relationship with God and become a Christian.
