After the recent BBC presenter scandal, GB News’ own presenter, Dan Wootton, has become a hot topic on Twitter due to allegations made by his former boyfriend, Alex. Alex took to Twitter to accuse Dan of stalking and emotionally bullying him during their relationship. The most severe claim involved a sex tape, allegedly discovered on a hard drive at Wootton’s house, depicting a Sun employee engaged in sexual activity without their knowledge.
The tape appeared to be non-consensual and was seemingly filmed using a hidden camera. The Twitter thread also mentioned an MSN chat transcript between the Sun employee’s partner and someone identified as “Martin Branning.” Alex believed that Martin Branning was an alias used by Dan Wootton. The transcript revealed a payment of £500 to create the sex tape secretly.
In the wake of these serious allegations, there have been reports circulating online about Dan Wootton taking a sudden leave of absence, although this news has yet to be confirmed by GB News or Dan himself.
Our presenter Dan Wootton will be taking time off from the channel, it is unknown how long Dan will be away. We would like our fantastic viewers to respect Dan’s privacy at this time. Get well soon Dan ❤️

Dan Wootton, a 40-year-old New Zealand-born British broadcaster, began his career as an entertainment columnist and reporter in New Zealand before moving to the UK in the mid-1990s. He joined The Sun in 2013 and worked as their executive editor until January 2021, when he joined GB News as the host of Tonight Live with Dan Wootton.
Alex stated that he was in a relationship with Dan from late 2009 to early 2013, a period he described as “the worst of my entire life.” According to Alex, Dan had access to all his social media accounts and Gmail, which raised concerns when Alex discovered his email was being accessed from the News of the World office, where Dan used to work.
During the end of their relationship, Alex found a locked bag at Dan’s London flat, which contained an external hard drive that allegedly contained a sex tape. Alex also claimed that Dan used the alias “Martin Branning” to coerce others, including himself and acquaintances, into creating sex videos for cash.
Alex had previously shared the hard drive story on Twitter in connection with the late British actress and TV presenter, Caroline Flack. However, he alleged that he was pressured to take down the tweets by a mutual friend of his and Dan’s.
Despite reporting Dan to the police, Alex claimed that no action was taken. He expressed his determination not to remove his tweets this time, as he felt it was essential for the truth about Dan Wootton to be known.
The news of Dan Wootton’s alleged wrongdoings has caused a significant stir on social media, with netizens sharing their reactions to the situation.
