Charley Bates was a 16-year-old boy from England whose name came into the spotlight following his death in 2022. He was close to his family members, and his tragic death at a young age left everyone devasted.
Bates and another teenager named Joshua Delbono got into a fight in Somerset on July 31, 2022. Delbono stabbed Bates with a knife multiple times in a car park in the town of Radstock.
Recently, Delbono admitted stabbing Bates but had denied murder, claiming he had been defending a friend. Now, Deblono has been sentenced, and people are eager to know more about his murder case.
Charley Bates Murder Case Update In 2023
Charley Bates was stabbed to death by Joshua Delbono. Due to that, Joshua was given a life sentence for murdering a schoolboy. Police also released an audio recording where his mother can be called 999 hours.
Joshua’s mother called them to notify them that her son had killed someone. Joshua was unanimously found guilty by a Bristol Crown Court jury on Tuesday.

Judge William Hart sentenced him to a minimum of 21 years without parole. He also revealed that the fight started as a normal fist, fight later, Charley lost his life.
Reportedly, the fight started over an alleged £20 drug debt. So, Delbono had told the jury he grabbed a knife when his friends were attacked in a car park in Radstock. Tragically, in a melee that happened, Bates was stabbed in the heart.

What Happened To Charley Bates?
Charley Bates was stabbed to death by a teenager named Joshua Delbono. Emergency services were called to a car park in The Street, Radstock, at around 6.40 pm on July 31, 2022, after reports of disorder involving a number of people.
Four people were arrested: Joshua Delbono, Lauren Ephgrave, Lawrence Day, and Jack Seal. Appearing at Bristol Crown Court on April 11, 2023, Joshua was found unanimously guilty of killing, and he will now serve a minimum of 21 years in prison.

According to a pathologist, Charley had been stabbed in the chest and arm. It is reported that Bates consistently tried to defend himself. Unfortunately, Bates was pronounced dead just over half an hour after emergency services arrived.
