A 59-year homeless man was stabbed and murdered brutally by eight teen girls Saturday night in Toronto.
Police reported that the man was taken to the hospital by paramedics immediately after the incident with life-threatening injuries. He died after a short time in the hospital.

59-Year-Old Homeless Man Stabbed In Toronto- Eight Teen Girls Charged With Second-Degree Murder
Eight teen girls, Two girls of 16 years, Three of 14 years, and three of 13 years, have been arrested and taken into custody at midnight Sunday.
Their identities have not been revealed under the youth criminal justice act.Police believe the girls met on social media and came from various parts of the city.
The Police are still unaware of how or why they met that night. They also need to find out how long the girls have known each other.
Three of the girls already had their names in the Police report, while the other five had no prior contact with law enforcement officials.

Terry Brown from Toronto Police, Homicide and Missing Persons Unit said, “I wouldn’t describe them as a gang at this point, but what is alleged to have occurred that evening would be consistent with what we traditionally call a swarming.”
He also mentioned that number of weapons were also seized from the girls, but further details were not given.

The victim man’s identity is also not being released as the officers continue notifying family members.
The man had been homeless for the past two years and spending his night in a shelter. In late fall, he moved into Toronto’s homeless shelter system at the Strathcona Hotel.
City of Toronto spokesperson said they couldn’t comment on the identity of clients in the shelter system.
Police believe that the excursion started at least by 10: 30 p.m Saturday and ended shortly after Police located and arrested them at midnight Sunday.
The incident took place after the suspects noticed the man was carrying alcohol. Another resident of the homeless shelter who didn’t want her name to be revealed said that she was smoking a cigarette with the man outside the shelter.
The group of girls approached them and tried to take the alcohol when the man told them to stop and leave them alone.
“He protected me,” the woman said. She added, The girls punched the man repeatedly. One of the girls even tried to follow her as she tried to walk away because she was frightened.”I think they stabbed his belly.”
She said she went into the shelter and brought him water afterward. “I didn’t know he would die,” she said.
Tuesday night, Toronto Mayor John Tory said in a statement that he is “deeply disturbed” by the details of the case as The death marks the city’s 68th homicide.
He added, “I am extremely troubled by the young age of those accused and the number of people allegedly involved in this murder. My thoughts are with this man’s friends and all those who knew him as they mourn his loss,”
