In 2021, Chapin enrolled at the University of Idaho and entered the fraternity Sigma Chi, and both of his siblings are students at the institution. Chapin majored in recreation, sport, and tourism administration at the University.

She started as a temporary teacher in the Conway School District before changing to a full-time position in the Aberdeen School District.
After that, she spent the summers working for Camp Walt Whitman while attending Gonzaga University and Western Washington University to earn her master’s degrees in administration and education.

She also finished her secondary school studies at Mount Vernon Secondary School in Mount Vernon, Washington, and took a few classes at the University of Puget Sound.
Chapin’s mother said her main message at a vigil hosted on the University of Idaho campus on November 30 was to implore everyone in attendance to spend time with their loved ones.
A few weeks ago, after parent’s weekend, Ethan Chapin’s parents said farewell to their three kids at the University of Idaho. They left proud of the kids they reared, having watched them develop while they were away at college.
Chapin, Ethan Parents left with that happy idea, unaware that it would be the last time they would see their son Ethan alive. We must give the family the privacy they need because they are going through a difficult period.

Ethan Chapin has two siblings, Mazie Chapin, and Hunter Chapin. However, not much information about them was found on the internet.

Hunter goes by the handle @hunterchapin3 and has over 2k followers at the time of writing this article. However, he does not seem to be very much active there, as he has only four posts at the moment.
Sadly, not much information about his sister, Maizie, was found as she has not revealed much about herself on the internet.
