Decatur, AL – The city of Decatur, Alabama, is mourning the loss of the esteemed pediatrician, Dr. Jeffrey Hull, who passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, surrounded by his cherished family. The heart-wrenching news was shared through heartfelt condolences on social media, reflecting the immense impact Dr. Hull had on the community he served.
A dedicated professional, Dr. Hull’s journey began with a strong academic foundation at the University of Texas, culminating in a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston. Born on December 31, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Hull’s commitment to pediatric care was underscored by his residency in pediatrics at UTMB and his service in both the Army and Navy.
Relocating to Decatur in 1991, Dr. Hull brought over a decade of pediatric experience, having spent seven years practicing in Corpus Christi, Texas, before becoming an integral part of Decatur’s pediatric medical community for twenty-five years. His tireless dedication and exceptional medical expertise earned him widespread respect and trust among peers and patients alike.

In remembrance of his life and contributions, a visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on December 20, 2023, followed by a Celebration of Life service on December 21, 2023, at First Bible Church, officiated by Pastor Steve Bateman. Dr. Jeffrey Hull will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery, leaving behind a lasting impact on Decatur’s medical community and the families he touched with his compassion and expertise.
