Umesh Pal Murder Case
According to online sources, Umesh Pal was assassinated on February 24, 2023, close to his house in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh’s Sulem Sarai neighborhood.
Armed men connected to gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed assaulted him as he and two police bodyguards exited the backseat of a Hyundai Creta Vehicle.
Umesh Pal and one of his shooters were seriously hurt because of the assailants’ use of crude explosives and gunfire. After being transported to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital, Umesh Pal passed away from his wounds.
With opposition parties citing a deteriorating law and order situation in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Umesh Pal’s murder has caused political controversy.
Atiq Ahmed, a former gangster who is now a politician, has a criminal record and is now being held in an Ahmedabad jail. He has been named as the main suspect in the death of Umesh Pal.

The police stated that an FIR will be filed after receiving a complaint from Umesh Pal’s family.
Many Umesh Pal fans gathered outside the SRN hospital as word of the incident spread, and more police had to be dispatched to maintain order.
They said that Umesh Pal was also investigating two other crimes in addition to the murder of Raju Pal.
The primary suspect in the murder of Umesh Pal, Asad Ahmed, the son of imprisoned gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed, was shot and killed by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force on Thursday (STF).
The incident also resulted in the death of Maksudan’s son Ghulam, another mobster.
