According to a statement from their lawyers, the family of Nichols expressed their support for the terminations.
Whether the officers’ conduct was criminal in nature is being investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Nichols was sent to Saint Francis Hospital in critical condition after complaining of shortness of breath, according to the police.
According to his relatives, Nichols’ arrival at Saint Francis Hospital was marked by blood, swelling, and a fractured neck.
After two “confrontations” with police on January 7, he passed away three days later.
Around 8:30 p.m., Memphis police claim they stopped Nichols for driving recklessly near Ross Road and Raines Road.
According to Nichols’ dad Rodney Wells, he was just a block from his house.
Tyre was a skateboarder, the father of a 4-year-old son, and an innocent man, according to Nichols’ brother, Jamal Miller. Tyre also never got into problems.
