The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Buffalo, New York native Williams in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. His time at Syracuse University was excellent.

He excelled in college, finishing tenth in career catches (133), eighth in receiving yards (2,044), and second in receiving scores (20) alongside Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison.

Williams quickly established himself during his first season with the Buccaneers. In the voting for Offensive Rookie of the Year, he came in second place.

He showed that he could be a strong wide receiver in 2010 by catching 65 catches for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns.
