Melgoza’s father, Patrick O’Brian, claimed his family had received overwhelming hateful comments online. A body camera footage released recently showed Stephanie drunkenly giggling at the scene on 10 April.
“We mourn with Paul and Andrea’s family and deeply regret what our daughter did to them.” We sincerely apologize. “However, this harassment must stop,” he posted on Facebook on Tuesday.
The father blasted the cowards responsible for the “harassment,” stating they “sit behind a keyboard and share pictures of their family and defame their character.”
O’Brian pointed out that his family should not have to pay for his daughter’s crime.
