He later pursued his higher education at the esteemed Imperial College of London University in the United Kingdom, earning his BSc in Botany, DIC, and PhD in Botany by 1978.

“Dear All,“It’s with a heavy heart that we must inform you of the passing of our beloved father, Dr. Saleemul Huq, late last night 28th October, 2023 at his family residence in Dhaka, Bangladesh.We will be holding his Namaaz-e-Janaza at:The Gulshan Society Jame Masjid,Road 63, Gulshan 2 (opposite Gulshan Lake Park),at 4:15pm, on 29th October 2023.We understand if you are not able to join us for the Namaaz, but would be grateful if you can keep him in your thoughts and prayers wherever you are.– Sadaf & Saqib”
