In 2005, Saima married director Syed Noor, with whom she has collaborated on several film projects. She was born in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan, and belongs to the Pathan family.
Saima’s entry into the film industry was facilitated by Nagina Khanum, and she made her debut in the 1987 film Griban. She subsequently starred in her second film, Khatarnaak, directed by Akram Khan.
During her early years in the film industry, she predominantly appeared in Punjabi films alongside actor Sultan Rahi. However, her career took a significant turn when filmmaker Syed Noor introduced her to Urdu films, where she gained recognition as a leading female character.
