An architect from Malaga who was well-known in the community passed away in the hospital over the weekend after being attacked by two individuals in the city center a few days prior.
Rafael Santa-Cruz y Carrillo de Albornoz, who was 58 years old, died due to the injuries sustained in the assault, which took place on Wednesday evening.
He had gone to a bar with a friend to watch the Real Madrid vs. Chelsea football match, and afterward, while they were walking towards the city center to grab a drink, they were attacked by two unknown people, according to the Police.

The friend, a builder of similar age to the architect, was also attacked by the same individuals and had to be hospitalized due to his injuries, but he is not in critical condition at this time.

According to his team, Santa Cruz was an exceptional student at the San Estanislao school, and he excelled in his architectural studies, completing his final project with top honors. He was a devoted family man as well.
