Meredith Parkes, wife of Philip Parkes, announced his passing through her post saying,

It is with deep sadness that I’m writing to let friends, family and colleagues know that my husband, Philip Parkes, has died following a massive stroke on September 4th. He passed away on September 15th, in the hospital with family and dear friends by his side. Details of a Celebration of Life will be posted at a later date. To our friends and family, Thank You for your words and support during this time. To my wonderful husband Philip, I’m so grateful for the time that we had together and I will always love you.

Born in Amherstburg, Ontario, Philip completed his secondary education at Elmira District Secondary School and later became a prominent figure in the world of dressage. He was a self-employed individual, dedicating his life to his love for horses, sports, and learning. Throughout his life, he fostered a deep love for the equestrian world, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with everyone he encountered.

A dedicated member of the dressage community, Philip was widely admired for his unwavering commitment to the sport. He was a genuine and encouraging soul, always ready to extend a helping hand and go the extra mile for his fellow riders.
