On November 1 at 6:35 p.m., Haywood County Sheriff Billy Garrett was contacted concerning the discovery of human remains by farmers harvesting soybeans in a field near Cobb Crossing and Highway 79.
Following the grim find, Sheriff Garrett, accompanied by deputies and investigators, rushed to the site and engaged the services of the local coroner. She is described as 5’6” and around 130 pounds, wearing jeans, a pullover, and black sandals at the time of her disappearance.
