Oher accuses the Tuohy couple of deceiving him into signing a document that granted them conservatorship, enabling them to make profitable business agreements using his name.
He’s requested the court to terminate the conservatorship, forbid them from using his identity, and demand a complete record of earnings from his name and story. This includes a portion of profits and unspecified damages.

Michael Oher Lawsuits Against Blind Side
In August 2023, Michael Oher sued, claiming the Tuohys didn’t adopt him, but established a conservatorship to manage business deals using his name.
Oher claimed the Tuohys used their conservatorship to secure a deal that earned them millions in movie royalties, leaving Oher with nothing, despite their two children benefiting as well.
His legal action seeks to terminate the Tuohys’ conservatorship, prevent them from using his identity, and demand a comprehensive financial audit of their earnings from his name.
