Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has been spotted without her pricey engagement ring from Prince Harry, sparking speculation about her marriage. However, the missing ring has a simple explanation – it’s reportedly being fixed.
The engagement ring, given to Meghan by Prince Harry when he proposed in November 2017, is a custom design featuring a diamond from Botswana and two smaller stones from Princess Diana’s collection. The ring’s design holds special significance, as Harry mentioned in a post-engagement interview that the little diamonds from his mother’s collection were meant to ensure she’s with them on their journey together.

Duke of Sussex told the BBC,
“The ring is yellow gold, because that’s [her] favorite, and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana, and the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection to make sure that she’s with us on this — on this crazy journey together”
Markle explaining:
“Everything about Harry’s thoughtfulness and the inclusion of [Princess Diana’s stones] and obviously not being able to meet his mom, it’s so important to me to know that she’s a part of this with us.”
Meghan Markle has had the ring altered over the years, including swapping the original yellow gold band for a thinner pavé setting after the birth of their first child, Prince Archie.
Rumors of a potential marriage falter have circulated, but insiders close to the couple have denied any truth to these claims. The couple has been spending time apart due to work commitments, with Harry speaking at events and playing in charity polo matches, while Meghan enjoys time with friends.
Despite any speculation, it seems that the missing engagement ring is simply undergoing repairs and doesn’t signal any trouble in the couple’s relationship.
