According to the Hinds county coroner, Brown’s body was found inside a Dodge Charger at approximately 8:30 on Friday morning in a parking lot between Dixon Hall and Campbell College Suites.
Students claimed to have been instructed to leave Dixon Hall but not given a reason, according to 16 WAPT News.
Later, the University texted students, informing them there was “an ongoing inquiry at Tiger World,” the parking area between the two residence halls.
In a statement, JSU President Thomas K. Hudson acknowledged that the victim was a student at the institution.
At the student center theater, according to Hudson, there are accessible grief counselors.
