Mifflinburg, PA – The Mifflinburg community is in mourning following the tragic passing of 9-year-old Joslyn Noelle Flickinger. Her father, Luke Flickinger, a member of the Mifflinburg Area High School football team’s coaching staff, announced her passing in a heartfelt Facebook post on Tuesday evening.
“Mandie Flickinger and I are forever grateful to all who have prayed for Joslyn and our family,” he wrote. “At 10:15 this morning, Joslyn Noelle Flickinger went to be with Jesus. Please pray (for) our family at this time for strength and peace.”
Joslyn’s journey touched the hearts of many in the Buffalo Community Church and beyond, as regular updates about her condition were shared on the church’s Facebook page since the weekend accident.
A week prior to her passing, tragedy struck when Joslyn was injured by a fallen tree. Her parents, Luke and Mandie Flickinger, humbly requested prayers and support from the community for their beloved daughter. Joslyn had been in a medically induced coma, facing severe bodily injuries and significant brain swelling.
