In a heartfelt message sent to the families and students of Lincoln High School, the school administration expressed their deep sorrow at the loss of John Ricke, a dedicated and hardworking educator.

John Ricke, a passionate social studies teacher at Lincoln High School, was known for his unwavering dedication to his students and his commitment to promoting peace and generosity. His sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of the school community. John was sadly pronounced dead by his family members, leaving the school in shock and sadness.

This morning, the Lincoln High School Building Administration and District Crisis Team gathered to inform the school personnel about this tragic loss. They assured the staff and students that they would be providing support throughout this difficult time. The District Crisis Team and school counselors will be readily available to offer additional assistance to the grieving students and staff.

Lincoln High School, located in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, is a public institution that serves both the city and its surrounding suburbs. With an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students, the school offers education for grades 9 through 12. The school building, designed by Perkins, Fellows & Hamilton of Chicago, features a campus layout created by Jens Jensen and was constructed in 1923. Nestled near the picturesque Lake Michigan on Roeff’s Hill, the school stands on 19 acres of land.
