After a lengthy investigation, Jackson Mahomes was taken into custody in the early hours of Wednesday morning for an incident that took place in February at a restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas City. The incident occurred just a few weeks following his brother Patrick’s second Super Bowl win. Jackson is accused of pushing a waiter and forcibly kissing the restaurant’s owner, Aspen Vaughn, by grabbing her throat without her consent.
Jackson now faces charges of aggravated sexual battery in connection with the incident. The restaurant’s security cameras captured the incident, and the footage has since been released and spread widely on social media.
Vaughn said she tried to push Jackson away multiple times, but to no avail.
“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere. and I’m telling him, pushing him off saying, ‘What are you doing?’ and then he proceeded to do it two more times, where the last time I was pushing him off, and I can see on the cameras that somebody was outside the office door, and I was yelling for them to come help, because he’s big and massive.”

The video footage corroborates Vaughn’s account of the incident as she reported it to the authorities. Despite the incident occurring on February 23, the social media influencer has remained silent and even took a long break from posting content.
Jackson Mahomes was taken into custody and booked at the Johnson County Jail shortly after 7:00 am CT. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail and his arraignment is scheduled for this afternoon, given the charges of aggravated sexual battery.
Brittany Mahomes reaction about allegations against brother-in-law
The allegations surrounding Jackson have not been addressed by the Mahomes family, but Patrick’s wife Brittany made a recent comment on social media showing her support for her brother-in-law. In an Instagram Q&A session with fans a few weeks ago, she mentioned that people are unaware of the entire situation. Brittany also defended him, calling those who criticized him “ignorant” and stating that he is simply trying to navigate through life. She concluded by saying that nobody has the authority to pass judgment on the younger Mahomes as they haven’t experienced what he has.
“They are ignorant. He is a human just trying to live his life and find his way and until you walk a day in his shoes (which no one ever will) you have no right to say s— about him.”
Brittany and Jackson have been close friends since before she got married. They frequently attend Kansas City Chiefs games together and take photos on the sidelines.
