Sam Bankman-Fried is a businessman, investor, and former millionaire well-known by the initials SBF.
Sam is the founder and former CEO of Alameda Research, a quantitative cryptocurrency trading Company, and FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange. And FTX.US, its U.S. affiliate.
In the summer of 2013, Bankman-Fried began trading foreign ETFs at Jane Street Capital, a proprietary trading firm. He started as an intern and returned there full-time after graduating.
After leaving Jane Street in September 2017, Bankman-Fried moved to Berkeley. From October to November that same year, he worked as the Centre for Effective Altruism’s development director.

No, Sam is not gay, as there were Anonymous employees of FTX and Alameda who reportedly told CoinDesk that Bankman-Fried was dating his co-worker Caroline Ellison.

Bankman-Fried also has other issues. According to a source, the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission investigate FTX to see if any criminal behavior or securities offenses have occurred.
