On June 17, at approximately 8:25 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office issued an “active shooter” alert for the Gorge Amphitheatre.
Subsequently, the warning was revised to clarify that the shooting had occurred at the campgrounds near the Amphitheatre rather than the actual music grounds.
The shooting occurred while the Beyond Wonderland festival, a multi-day EDM event, drew many attendees to the campground adjacent to the arena.
