During the ragging tradition, newcomers to Punjab University encountered unethical and abusive behavior from senior students, according to a news magazine.

Institutional ragging is a common custom. On the first day of school, its original goal was to foster a sense of community among seniors and newcomers. Ragging requires individuals to perform a variety of challenging and sometimes even embarrassing tasks.

Ragging becomes a difficult and humiliating act over time for new students or members of an organization or institution. Seniors abuse this custom and engage in unethical and abusive behavior. While ragging is now against the law in many countries, it is still practiced in Pakistani universities and colleges.

According to a recent report, freshmen at Punjab University are made to undress in front of their female classmates by seniors. In addition, they act inappropriately toward female students and blow cigarette smoke on their faces. They paraded their personal belongings and searched their bags without permission.

When the student was asked if he had complained to anyone in the administration about this, He responded that they might have a lot of problems if they filed a complaint.

Despite the fact that Khurram Shehzad, a spokesperson for Punjab University, has stated that these reports are false and that neither a similar incident nor any new students have complained of ragging at the university.
