Deontay Wilder Arrested And Charges

Deontay Wilder, a former heavyweight world champion, was detained early this morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of carrying a hidden firearm.

According to TMZ, cops halted the hard-hitting heavyweight at roughly 1.15 am during a routine traffic stop because they thought his car’s windows were unlawfully tinted and his license plate was covered up.

Mirror Fighting can confirm that Wilder, 37, was arrested in connection with a firearm and that at 6.34 am, she was freed after posting a $35,000 bond. Wilder spent just under three hours inside the institution after being arrested at 3.13 am.

He was later given a court date of May 23 in Los Angeles, where he might be charged with a crime and subject to a fine of up to $10,000.

The boxer is now negotiating a December super fight with Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
