Police reported a man being stabbed following an altercation at the Criterion Hotel near York at around 1 am on May 7, 2023.
The officers provided first aid to Mr. Allen until the ambulance arrived, but he died at the scene.
Allen was reportedly leaving the pub with his wife and three others celebrating his wife’s birthday when they were approached by an unknown individual carrying a knife.

Despite receiving first aid from the police and ambulance crews at the scene, Allen died from his injuries.
Makala Lister, Mr. Allen’s stepdaughter, expressed her grief over losing her beloved stepfather, a BMX champion and an outdoor enthusiast with love for camping, dirt bikes, and 4WDs.
Lister, who is six weeks pregnant, stated that Allen was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather-to-be loved by everyone who knew him.
She added that he was always ready for a friendly chat, no matter the subject, and would be deeply missed.

Suspect Spencer Shumski Charges With Murder Of Clint Allen
