The Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA) have suspended head coach Ime Sunday Udoka for the 2022–23 season.
Ime Sunday Udoka is a Nigerian–American professional basketball coach and former player. While playing, he was a member of the Nigerian national team.
Udoka began his professional basketball career by competing for the Charleston Lowgators in the NBDL after being selected 39th overall in the NBDL Draft in 2002.

A representative for the ex-couple revealed to People on Tuesday, December 6, that the Best Man actor, 51, and the Boston Celtics head coach, 45, are “no longer together but remain totally dedicated to co-parenting their son [Kez].”
Three months after reports that Udoka had an extramarital affair with a member of the NBA staff surfaced in September, the couple had split up.
The Celtics suspended him for the 2022–23 season after the charges surfaced because the alleged relationship went against “club policies.”
Udoka had an “intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the Celtics staff,” according to The Athletic.
