On June 29th, 1946, she married Leslie Gyurko at St. Henry’s Church in Natural Bridge, a union that lasted 72 years until Leslie’s passing in 2019. Ruth held various employment roles, but her most cherished roles were that of a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Ruth’s love for her family was boundless, and she found joy in spending time with her children, Karlton and Valerie, her grandchildren Kathleen and Kyle, and her great-grandchildren Kaelynn and Jackson. A memorial reception will be held after the burial at the Sahara Restaurant in Fargo.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to St. James Catholic Church, the Carthage Area Rescue Squad, or the First Responders at Great Bend or Deferiet Fire Departments. The Gyurko family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mirza Ashraf’s office for their personalized care and to the compassionate staff at Carthage Area Hospital during Ruth’s final days.
