Bryan Kohberger, the University of Idaho murders suspect, is presumed to have a mental illness. Does he have Borderline Personality Disorder? Let’s find out.

Kohberger is currently one of the most hated names in the United States, as he was responsible for the brutal stabbings of four University of Idaho students.

Four innocent college students sleeping in their off-campus residence were fatally stabbed by someone, later identified as Bryan Kohberger.

The 28-year-old criminal justice graduate received a Bachelor of Arts in 2020 and a Master of Arts in 2022 from DeSales University.

He was charged with the murders of four University of Idaho students: Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.

Bryan Kohberger Mental Illness

Bryan Kohberger is suspected of having some sort of mental illness. Maybe that’s why his attorney is confident in releasing him from behind bars.

His Pennsylvania attorney, Jason LaBar, issued a statement implying that Kohberger was “eager to be exonerated” of the charges against him.

This implies that the attorney and Kohberger, a criminal justice student, must have found some legal loophole to maintain his innocence and get released from prison.

The Bryan Kohberger Affidavit does not answer the burning question as to what his motive for the four murders was.

According to the affidavit, the knife used in the murders was found in one of the victim’s rooms, and the DNA on it was used to build a profile.

And the profile matched Bryan’s father, Michael, leading the authorities to the former’s arrest.

The affidavit also implied that Kohberger allegedly surveilled the area around the victim’s residence.

Yet, despite all that evidence, the lack of motive in the brutal murders is baffling.

Nothing will be final until Kohberger himself speaks and gives the authorities the cause of the murders.

That’s why there are rumors that Kohberger and his attorney must have attempted the insanity excuse to get free.

However, it was reported that Bryan Kohberger couldn’t use insanity as his defense in the four Idaho murders.

Earlier, a former federal prosecutor informed that Kohberger would be unable to plead not guilty by insanity due to the state law.

State attorney Michael McAuliffe told Newsweek that Idaho lacks a formal insanity defense. Hence, Kohberger won’t be able to use that in his favor to get out of jail.

American Psychology Association revealed that Idaho’s legislature revoked the state’s insanity defense in 1982.

The charge against him was that he broke into a home intending to commit a felony.

Documents showed that Bryan was linked with the stabbing through DNA evidence on a knife sheath acquired from the crime scene.

On January 12, 2023, Bryan appeared again for a status conference in the same courthouse.

The court ordered a preliminary probable cause hearing at the Latah County Courthouse, scheduled for June 26, 2023.

Shortly preceding his second appearance, Kohberger received stab marks all over his face. According to Latah County Sheriff, the cut was due to a shaving accident.

However, there was a two-inch cut above his jawline and a more minor cut on his left cheek.
