Bricc Baby Arrest In 2017: Alleged Armed Robbery
It is not the first time the American rapper has been entangled with the law.
Bricc Baby was arrested in 2017 for alleged armed robbery after he led police on a chase and a standoff in Marina del Rey, California.
When authorities spotted Bricc Baby’s SUV in the area of Mindanao Way and Lincoln Boulevard, the rapper reportedly ran away.
According to Los Angeles Police, before turning around and exiting the car at the 13900 block of Panay Way, the rapper traveled onto the Marina Freeway and into the Culver City region. Police set up a perimeter as they sought for him after he fled into an apartment building.
As a SWAT squad and police dogs prepared to enter the building, the suspect surrendered peacefully. The musical artist’s family adamantly denied that he committed the robbery.

His mother remarked, “I came to make sure they didn’t kill another black young man. He did not rob anyone. He lacks a firearm.”
The musician’s mother claimed that his friends stole several goods from a store, and his son entered the same vehicle as his friend only due to increased adrenaline.
Police officers defended the extensive response they received for the standoff, which included numerous K-9 units and dozens of cops.
Captain Jay Roberts of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Patrol said, “The fact that we have such a large apartment building and area to search means that we need additional assets to keep the public and officers safe.”
It is unclear whether or not the American rapper was sent to prison at the time.
