At just 20 years of age, Breanna’s promising life was tragically cut short on Monday, September 18, 2023, following a harrowing battle that began with a cardiac arrest on September 2nd. The heartbreaking announcement of her passing was conveyed through a somber Facebook post, which read, “It is with immense grief and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Breanna Pifano. On the night of September 18th, 2023, Breanna took her last breath. She bravely fought for her life but unfortunately could fight no longer.”
Breanna was a dedicated student in her third academic year at Montclair State University, where she pursued her studies in Biology with a dream of becoming an optometrist. Her journey took a sudden and alarming turn on September 2nd when she experienced a cardiac arrest and was found unresponsive. In a race against time, paramedics were summoned to the scene, and their tireless efforts extended for over 45 minutes as they worked diligently to successfully resuscitate her.
