Bradyn White killed and 4 teenagers injured in Elmore County crash on Lightwood Rd, Deatsville

Prattville, Alabama – A devastating car accident claimed the life of 14-year-old Bradyn White, a student at Holtville High School in Elmore County, Alabama. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon as Bradyn was returning home from school.

Law enforcement reported that a single-vehicle accident involving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck took place around 3:20 p.m., tragically ending Bradyn’s life. The vehicle veered off Lightwood Road near Hickory Road, crashing into a tree in Elmore County, about eleven miles north of Wetumpka.

In the accident, Bradyn White lost his life instantly. Additionally, four other teenagers, aged between 14 and 17, were injured and promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Among the injured were a 16-year-old, a 14-year-old, a 15-year-old, and a 17-year-old, all from Deatsville.

Lindsay Ann Bailey posted on Facebook,

“I’m literally just lost for words.. my first baby my boy he was literally my kid he’s gone and I’ll never understand and I don’t know that I’ll ever be okay  Bradyn White baby you were the light of my life and ill love you for the rest of mine!!“God, please pray for my sister Jasmine Merritt and Derek White the most and Nicole M White and TJ!I love you so much son!!”

Responding to the scene, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division Troopers initiated investigations into the tragic incident.

In response to the sorrowful news, Mr. Kreauter, Principal of Holtville High School, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the affected family and friends. Counseling support will be provided for students in need, with dedicated counselors available tomorrow morning to offer assistance and compassion.

A fundraiser has been organized at First Community Bank to aid the family with funeral expenses and loss of income during this challenging period. Contributions can be made at any branch of First Community Bank under the account name “Kelsie Strength/Donna Holley in Memory of Bradyn White.” All funds collected will be directed to TJ and Jasmine, supporting them during this difficult time.

The family of Bradyn White will release further details regarding his obituary and funeral arrangements, allowing the community to come together and honor his memory.
