The specific cause of the businessman’s passing has not been made public. As a result, the death cause of Bill, who was also the Hollins Murray Group Chairman, is unknown.
Before his death, Mr. Murray had served as non-executive chairman of the Wilmslow-based Company since January 2016. As reported by MSN, Sosandar stated to the London Stock Exchange.
It reads, “it is with great regret that Sosandar announces that Bill Murray, non-executive chairman of the Company, has passed away.”
“His fellow board members and colleagues are deeply saddened by his demise,” continued the statement. “The Company also said they would provide further updates in due course.
Co-CEOs Ali Hall and Julie Lavington also issued a joint statement. While expressing their sadness over the tragic demise of their chairman, they disclosed he passed away over the weekend.
“All those who had the opportunity of working with him will miss him terribly,” they added.
Bill has created a long-lasting legacy for the Company, and his devotion to the development and success of Sosandar will be sorely missed, the co-CEOs continued.
During this sorrowful and challenging time, Hall and Lavington send their thoughts and condolences to Bill Murray’s family and loved ones.

The businessman spent much of his professional career in the media industry and served as a managing director of Haymarket Media Group’s digital business worldwide until 2008.
