Asonta’s recent history includes his release from state prison in February of the current year, as documented by the Georgia Department of Corrections. Moreover, he faced various charges in Habersham County in June, including possession of marijuana with intent, possession of cocaine with intent, and “crossing guardlines,” a Georgia law related to contraband in jails or prisons. Additionally, he was reportedly charged with “move over,” likely referring to not yielding to emergency vehicles.
In the midst of these legal issues, Asonta also encountered civil problems, with the Georgia Department of Human Services pursuing child support claims for two children. Records indicated an outstanding child support debt of $10,403 as of June 30, leading to a Motion of Contempt being filed.
