April Storey Mackey’s legacy as a compassionate veterinarian and beloved member of the community is immeasurable. April shared her life with her devoted husband, Scott Mackey, and their cherished 13-year-old son, Peyton.

Beyond her work, April found joy in fishing, gardening, and preparing meals for her family. Family vacations to Gulf Shores beach and impromptu car dances to Taylor Swift were treasured memories for her husband, Scott, and son, Peyton.

April Storey Mackey is preceded in death by her father, Moulton Storey, and survived by her mother, Katie Storey; husband, Scott Mackey; son, Peyton Mackey; aunts, Carla Huie and Susan Axford, along with husband John; and cousins, Kevin Caughman, and Patrick and Lindsey Axford.
A visitation to remember and celebrate April’s life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home, located at 3631 Southern Ave. Shreveport, LA 71104.
