Omaha, Nebraska – The Centerline Apartments in the vicinity of 70th and Oak Streets bore witness to a heartbreaking domestic-related incident resulting in the loss of 25-year-old Alexandria Mitchell, a woman described by friends and family as smart, kind-hearted, and purpose-driven. Mitchell, the head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Medical Solutions Staffing and Recruiting, was recognized for her dedication and accomplishments.
A distinguished graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Bellevue University, and Westside High School, Mitchell had recently achieved certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for HR from Cornell University in November 2023.

“I am so sorry Alexandria Mitchell …..you deserved better and you were taken from us so soon. It’s been about a year since we last saw each other at my graduation party.“You helped me jumpstart my college career at UNO and connected me to a lot of student organizations and resources on campus.“You were always that one person I can rely on for help or advice. Not that long ago we were just talking about grad school and to know you had so much in store for your future breaks my heart. I am going to miss you so much Alex”
Tragically, Mitchell lost her life after being shot by her boyfriend, Nicholas Page, in the aforementioned incident. Page, after perpetrating the shooting, took his own life. Law enforcement, responding to the scene following attempts to contact Mitchell and Page from outside the apartment, heard two gunshots emanating from inside the residence.
Upon entry, authorities discovered both Mitchell and Page deceased from apparent gunshot wounds, with a firearm found nearby, as indicated in a press release. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident are actively underway, according to OPD Lt. Neal Bonacci.
At this time of immense grief, the family plans to release Alexandria Mitchell’s obituary and details regarding funeral arrangements. The loss of Alexandria Mitchell, a vibrant and accomplished individual, has left a profound impact on those who knew her.
