Romesh Ranganathan is married and lives in his hometown of Crawley with his wife, Leesa, and their three sons.

The Actor, obsessed with tattoos, has his sons’ names inked on his body. His other tattoos include Richard Pryor, Nas, the Roots, and the Transformers’ Autobot logo.

Their sons are Alex, Charlie, and Theo Ranganathan, aged 12, 10, and seven (as of September 2022).

Jonathan Romesh Ranganathan was born in Crawley, West Sussex, England, to Sri Lankan Tamil Hindu parents Ranga and Sivashanthini “Shanthi” Ranganathan.

Romesh attended Reigate Grammar School in Reigate, Surrey, from 1990 to 1992, an independent school for boys (now co-ed).

Afterward, he was educated at Hazelwick School, a state comprehensive school in his hometown of Crawley. He then studied Mathematics at Birkbeck College, University of London.

Romesh initially taught math at his former secondary school, Hazelwick School, and The Beacon School in Banstead, Surrey.

He began performing as a comedian while working as a teacher. Also, Romesh was a freestyle rapper under the rap name “Ranga”, reaching the finals of the UK freestyle competition.

The Actor-comedian is known by his middle name Romesh. He only knew that his first name, as stated on his birth certificate, was Jonathan when he started school.
