Rebecca Davis passes away by car accident in Brown Mobile, AL; GoFundMe

Mobile, Alabama – The Mobile community is in mourning following the sudden and tragic passing of Rebecca Davis Brown, a beloved arts instructor and member of the local literary community. Rebecca, aged 25, lost her life unexpectedly in a car accident involving a truck in Orange Beach, Alabama, on Thursday, October 19. The accident has left her family, friends, and colleagues in shock and deep sorrow.

Rebecca was a dedicated Arts Instructor for the Expect Excellence Program at the City of Orange Beach, where her husband, Matthew Davis-Brown, also worked as a Music Instructor. She was also known for her passion for dance, teaching ballet at the Premiere Dance Center in Lucedale, Mississippi. Rebecca pursued her education at the University of South Alabama, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree. She was furthering her studies, working towards a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing at Queens University of Charlotte.

In addition to her teaching roles, Rebecca was an active member of the literary community. She served on the board of directors of the Alabama Writers’ Cooperative and was a co-founder and editor of the Orange Beach Literary Journal. Her contributions to the arts and literature community were widely appreciated and respected.

In the wake of this devastating loss, a GoFundMe page has been set up by Jessica Langston to support Rebecca’s husband, Matthew Davis-Brown, and both the Brown and Davis families with funeral expenses.
