George Springer full name Geroger Chelston Springer III is a professional baseball outfielder from America who is playing with his team in Major Baseball League Toronto Blue Jays.

Before making Toronto his home team, Chelston was honoring his skills with his previous team, now opponents Houston Astros, from 2014 to 2020.

The baseballer initiated his professional career in the MLB when he got selected by the Astros as the 11th overall first-round pick at the MLB draft held in 2011.

However, it was until 2014 that George first appeared on the field playing his debut match for Astros. From his early career, Springer has picked the position in the center field and has gained much experience after playing in the right field.

The outfielder won the World Series and was named an MLB All-Star, and received the Silver Slugger Award in 2017.

In the wake of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the outfielder took part in a baseball clinic held by Matt Barnes at the Newtown Youth Academy in Connecticut.

Springer spent his first year of high school at New Britain High School in New Britain, Connecticut.

Even though the outfielder was only a freshman and only 5 feet 2 inches and 100 pounds tall, he participated on the varsity baseball team.

The athlete was selected for the 2009 Baseball America Freshman All-America First Team while playing for UConn. The Big East Conference rookie of the year award was also given to Springer.

George Springer Family And Ethnicity

George Springer was born to his father George Jr and mother Laura Springer on September 19, 1989.

The athlete spent his childhood in his hometown New Britain, Connecticut with his two sisters named Nicole and Lena Springer.

Athleticism runs in Geroge’s family as most of his family members have a history with sports in their early life.

George Springer’s great-grandfather immigrated from Panama at the age of 17 and played pitcher at Teachers College of Connecticut for four years which is now changed to Central Connecticut State University.

George Springer Jr., Springer’s father, played collegiate football for the Connecticut Huskies and participated in the 1976 Little League World Series.

Laura Springer, Springer’s mother, is a top-tier gymnast from Utuado, Puerto Rico. Similarly, both of Springer’s sisters played softball in college.

The outfielder has an American nationality, and his ethnicity is Latino/ Hispanic as the athlete’s maternal side is from Puerto Rico, and Panamanian is on the paternal side.

The baseballer was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan growing up as well. For his sophomore through senior years, Springer transferred to Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Connecticut.

In college, the baseballer played baseball for the Connecticut Huskies baseball team at the University of Connecticut (UConn).
